An absolute novelty: MARATHON

In 2024, we introduced a line to our range that encompasses all the experience and expertise of years of market presence. The dividing line between past and future has a name: it is called MARATHON, and it is the first Exena safety footwear line made with an EVA sole.

The meeting of two worlds

EVA (an acronym for ethylene vinyl acetate) is a compound that has long been used for the manufacture of soles for footwear, both sports and everyday use. It is a very porous substance, which owes its proverbial lightness to its ability to store air inside. We have combined something that already existed, EVA, with something that does not yet exist, an S1 and S3 safety class working footwear that is lightweight, stylish and has an excellent value for money. From the union of these two concepts comes MARATHON, our new way of interpreting lightness at work.

Not just EVA

MARATHON is much more than just EVA outsole. In each article of the line, there is the best that can be conceived and designed to be applied to a shoe. Every seam, every flap of lining, every fibre of fabric has the aim of making workers who need to protect themselves from accidents experience a new way of working.
