LEVITY-X has long been at the top of the ratings for the entire Exena range, for its exclusivity, innovative design and high technological content. When the ‘Levity’ project was still only in the mind of the creative management and didn’t even have a name, we wondered what would make a truly iconic work shoe. The path taken was clear: create something that had a unique style with top-of-the-range technical elements, but mostly a design that can break with the past. Thus we began to study innovative solutions for the various ‘noble’ parts of the shoe.
Starting from the base
In the course of the project, thanks to the foresight and creativity of the designers, a paradigm shift was achieved that had never been seen before: from a simple functional element, the sole became the backbone of the entire collection, thanks to its ‘complex simplicity’ and its combination of aesthetics and functionality.
To reach for the stars
2D Air-Hole becomes the star of the project. A sole moulded to offer the best performance in terms of rebound and slip resistance, thanks to a brand new two-density polyurethane shape with holes that horizontally pierce the upper layer of the sole, from side to side. A rebound system that uses the most present and strongest element there is, namely air, to cushion the walk and remain fully comfortable. On this perfect and indispensable basis, today Exena rides the wave of success by presenting a novelty of great value.
