Exena considers sustainability to be a journey that involves people, relationships and physical structures. It is a formalised process, validated by ISO 14001 certification, for which we invest in internal training, the quality of the working environment and partnerships with suppliers who share our values.

For us, sustainability is not a goal to be achieved, but a path to be followed, starting from our new headquarters in Civitanova Marche. A structure powered by 250 square metres of photovoltaic panels and insulated according to modern construction standards to optimise temperature control and
minimise energy consumption.

Every action, even the smallest, contributes to building a future in which protection is not only about the worker’s feet, but the entire ecosystem in which the company operates.

The Exena photovoltaic system: power and efficiency

At the heart of our green strategy is the installation of a modern corporate photovoltaic system. Thanks to solar energy, we are able to power our operations while drastically reducing our impact on our planet.

Here are the technical details of our energy project:

• Total system power: 99.88 kWp
• Cutting-edge technology: The system consists of 227 high-efficiency photovoltaic modules, each rated at 440 Wp.
• Annual specific energy production: Estimated at 1,175 kWh/kWp.
• Total clean energy production: Estimated to generate 117,330 kWh per year.

Energy efficiency: self-consumption and shared network

Producing clean energy means not only satisfying internal needs, but also contributing to the well-being of the community.

According to our estimates, the plant covers the company’s needs with self-consumption of approximately 24%. The true strength of our plant, however, lies in sharing: the remaining 76% of the green energy produced is not wasted, but fed directly into the national electricity grid, bringing clean energy to homes and other businesses in the area.

Our environmental impact: sustainability numbers

Choosing solar energy isn’t just a matter of efficiency, but a true declaration of love for the planet. Thanks to self-generated energy and that fed into the grid, our environmental savings are concrete and measurable:

• Fewer emissions: We avoid releasing approximately 26 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere each year.
• Nature’s breath: The beneficial impact of our photovoltaic system is equivalent to that generated by planting 1,202 trees.
